Canadian Researchers Claim Success in Cold Fusion Experiment

Researchers at the University of British Columbia have reportedly achieved 15% more nuclear reactions during laboratory tests using an electrochemical process. This development, which has been described in 'Nature' on August 20, 2025, is reminiscent of the controversial cold fusion experiment conducted by Martin Fleischmann and Stanley Pons in 1989. The Canadian team, partly composed of researchers who have revisited the Fleischmann-Pons experiments since 2015, has not used the term 'cold fusion' but has employed an electrochemical process to 'dope' the fusion process. However, the results are yet to be reproduced and verified.
